Sci-Inspire is a student-led, volunteer program run by Columbia University undergraduates who provide free, virtual tutoring and mentorship to middle and high school students in the NYC area and beyond. While rooted in STEM, we offer support across a range of subjects and aim to support learners through equitable, student-driven education.
How does Sci-Inspire work? During the academic year, our trained tutors are matched with students based on subject needs and scheduling preferences. We have the Independent Sessions (IS) program for 1-on-1 tutoring, in which students and tutors can coordinate a weekly time to meet. Additionally, we offer the Expert Sessions (ES) program for group tutoring, in which expert tutors host sessions at fixed weekly time that any on-boarded student is welcome to join.
